Behold the Beautiful In Life

I had a conversation with a friend today about the importance of observing beauty. When our lives are overrun with unpleasant scenarios and emotions, our vision tends to narrow and all, but the unpleasant, becomes dim.

We spoke about breaking a hole in the dark bubble of her life and seeking the beauty that life does offer. Finding what is beautiful, doesn’t remove the ugliness we face at times, but it does enlighten our perspective. It’s not all unpleasant. There is beauty to behold in nature, music, kindness, love, art, dance…

Helen Keller, who became blind and deaf at 19 months old, grew up and overcame all the odds she faced. Helen Keller is considered a leader in the study of Optimism. She wrote an essay called “Three Days to See”. She discusses what it would be like if she had 3 days to see.

I highly recommend it ❤️

The essay can easily found on Google.
